With all due respect, is there any reason for spewing so much vitriol and venom? Doesn’t the world need more calm and more careful assessment of how to get vaccines to poorer countries for example? How to get our economies to run again? How to heal the wounded and aggrieved?

Do we need healing or is finger pointing becoming a new sport for Ivory Tower speculators? We are not a dumb nation just as no one is super clever. Most nations are trying their best in spite of the politicisation of the whole thing.

Are we meant to be celebrating that economies around the world are facing huge challenges or are we so dumb that we need to refer to vitriolic narratives to feel better that someone else is dumber. I mean is this a race? What would that say about us?

No one wants to admit that we are are doing our best in trial and error zones, but for sure we all want the best for ourselves, our loved ones and perhaps humanity at large. Vitriol can be kept on a high shelf as no one truly has a need for it.
